Where are you located? Nicolas' Home & Pet Services is a mobile, in-home service based in Greater Seattle area. For a list of the areas I serve, please visit the footer of this website or reach out and ask directly.
FAQ's
Do you offer boarding services? No. All pet and house sitting takes place in your home, where your pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. I do not offer boarding or care in my own home.
Do you stay overnight in my home? Yes, I stay overnight for all booked sits unless otherwise discussed. Full presence is a core part of my service.
How much time do you spend in the home each day? I provide a high level of daily presence (up to 22 hours per day by request). While I do step out for errands or short periods, the majority of my day is spent in your home caring for your pets and maintaining your routines.
How often will I receive updates while you're sitting? You'll receive updates as often as you'd like — frequent check-ins or a few focused updates. Each message can include photos, videos, and clear notes. For longer sits, I offer a structured weekly update as well. My goal is to match your preferred communication style so you always feel informed and at ease.
How often can my pets be left alone? I follow your pets' normal rhythms as closely as possible. Dogs are typically left for shorter, reasonable windows, while cats and small animals usually require less constant supervision. If your pets have special needs or separation sensitivity, I adjust my schedule to support them.
Do you require a meet & greet? Yes. I primarily host virtual meet-and-greets to go over routines, discuss important details, and determine whether I’m the right fit for your pets and home. In-person meet-and-greets are an option, but are dependent on my availability.
How do you handle emergencies if they arise? I communicate immediately and follow your instructions, your veterinarian's guidance, or emergency protocols if needed. I also notify you about any home-related issues and take appropriate steps to keep things safe and secure until you return.
What exactly is included in your daily rate? All standard pet and home care services are included in my daily rate. The only optional add-on is The Pawlished Experience. Additional pet and holiday rates apply where applicable.
Do you have professional cleaning experience? Yes. Before launching NHPS, I worked in professional home cleaning and learned proper techniques and standards. That background shapes how I care for your home.
